Thank you Bhutila

Bhutila Karpoche our Member of Provincial Parliament for Parkdale—High Park, joined us on April 19th to give us an update on the area, and the province.  Housing, health care, highways, there was a lot to discuss.

What was the singular theme that kept coming up? Civic engagement. If you are passionate about a topic, piece of legislation, or anything happening in the province speak up! Respond to surveys, email the province. Let your voice be heard.

Thank you Bhutila for taking the time to join the West Bend Community Association.

Fora Developments Presents 2400 Dundas

During our February community meeting, Fora Developments presented their vision for the “Freshco site” which sits at 2400 Dundas St W. The meeting room was full to capacity, and then some, with lot’s of interest in the next phase of the site.

Currently the site comprises of Freshco, Shoppers Drug Mart, a large parking lot and access to the UP, GO pick up loop. We knew it would not stay that way for ever. The lot sits beside three major transit lines.

The new proposal is for three towers, a grocery store, supported by mixed use workshop spaces, and some green space. The GO/UP access would be maintained, and adjoined to 2376 Dundas West, the new building that is nearing completion.

Below are some maps and renderings, as well as a link to the website for the project, which includes a survey.
